Tacit X Aerial - Jan 28th 2013

Combining the dazzling showmanship of some of Dubai’s hottest names in aerial dance with a live performance from the mindbendingly eclectic beats of electronic duo Tacit this was hands down one of wildest collaborations we’ve ever hosted at The Fridge Concert Series. 

Jazz Hats - Jan 21st 2013

Kicking off the 12th Concert Series with flair, the Jazz Hats presented an eclectic programme featuring both well loved jazz favourites from the likes of Charlie Parker and Chick Corea and also a few unexpected numbers from their vast repertoire of Argentinian tango and ‘valse musette’. Thier performance was peppered with special including accordianist Hayk, soulful songstress Kerrie-Anne and drumming giant Rony Afif.

11th Fridge Concert Series Announced!

Here's the line-up for the 11th season of The Fridge Concert Series - featuring everything from hip hop beats to Latin grooves. We're excited to once again bring you some of the hottest acts currently making waves around our great city!

Dubai Vocal Ensemble & Shero - June 18th

The 10th Fridge Concert Series draws to a close and what a finale it was - 2 choirs, a repertoire of songs from all corners of the globe and a fantastic collaboration between the Dubai Vocal Ensemble and singer/songwriter Shero performing a heartfelt and moving number. Khalil Ghadri Acoustic Fusion Band - June 11th

We can now add the Khalil Ghadri Acoustic Fusion Band to the list of artists that have received a standing ovation at The Fridge, as members of last night's audience jumped to their feet at the end of their emotionally stirring performance. Their piece "Major", performed in conjunction with the Maayavi Dance Drama Academy was particularly special, seamlessly fusing two disparate styles of performance art.

Sach Holden - Wings

Sneak Peek of Season 10 Finale

We embedded our intrepid PR & Marketing Manager Anne amongst the performers of Monday's upcoming Fridge Concert Series season finale. She shot this heartfelt video of the Dubai Vocal Ensemble and singer/songwriter Shero rehearsing for their performance. Check it out below.

Sach Holden - June 4th

Sach Holden took to the stage proving yet again that he is without a doubt an essential singer / songwriter on the Dubai music scene.  The stellar guest list of young and budding artists that accompannied Sach during his performance was also one of the evening's most exciting revalations.

Project X - May 28th

The Afif brothers cooked up a storm in a vibrant mixture of jazz standards and hip hip.  Joined on stage by the exciting talent of Joachim Martinez on clarinet and trumpet, Serik on saxophone and MC Malikah it was the first time in a while that the Fridge audience had their hands up in the air, waving from left to right!

Dahab - May 21st

It was great to see so many of you showing up in force to support Dahab on Monday night. And what a night it was, filled with inspiring collaborations and heartfelt performances, we were especially grateful to the band for giving us a sneak-peak at their up-coming album by debuting a few new songs.

Haley Kallenberg - May 14th

Haley Kallenberg's performance on Monday May 14th was truly inspiring and yet another testament to the community spirit within Dubai's performing arts scene that The Fridge Concert Series helps champion. We witnessed a moving collaboration between Haley and contemporary dancer Mariko Wada and also took the time to interview a few of you prior to the concert to hear your thoughts on the scene - keep your eyes peeled to our website for those videos!
